Statistics show that the education revolution in Zefat is producing results! There has been a significant increase in eligibility for matriculation last year up to 86.5% (from 83.7 percent in 2009).
Additional changes in the education system since Shuki Ohana became mayor and chairman of the Education Dept include new programs, budget increases, addition of cyber and robotics studies, language learning from kindergarden, investments in math and core subject studies, an entrepreneurship center and an excellence program.
One of the goals of the municipality in investing in the city’s education institutions is to keep young families in the area. This goes along with developing a leisure culture, advancing new construction in Mitzpe Yamim, developing Zefat Industrial Park, creating jobs, sports development and the aim to turn Zefat into a clean and well-kept city.
